Our principals have almost 100 years combined experience in healthcare, medical devices, consumer electronics, IT and telecom. Their careers span medical practice, general management, sourcing, procurement, logistics, sales & marketing, product management, product innovation, business development and R&D.

Our founders have held senior executive roles at Harvard International (formerly alba plc), Flextronics, Philips Electronics, and M. Shah & Co.

Dr. Sunil Anand

Dr. Anand received schooling at one of India's elite boarding schools (affiliated with Cambridge University) in Nainital. He then pursued medical education and graduated with top honors from the Armed Forces Medical College in Pune, one of India's top medical colleges, where he received both MBBS as well MD Medicine degrees. He then left to train and work in the UK. He received a Diploma in Anesthesia from the Royal College of Surgeons, UK, and trained in Intensive Care Medicine at Walsgrave Hospital, Coventry, and District General Hospital in Birmingham.

Dr. Anand is a well-regarded faculty in ventilation techniques at medical associations like the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM). He was Governor for India for the American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC) for 8 years. He also served on an Advisory Board for setting up curricula for medical technology training at Symbiosis University, Pune. He is on the teaching faculty at the same institution and has authored a chapter on legislation in the manufacture of medical equipment in India for their distance-learning program.

Dr. Anand has been retained as a Clinical Tutor for companies like Respironics, Medin and Sechrist. He trains throughout South and South East Asia to introduce the concept of Non Invasive Ventilation and Neonatal CPAP.

Sadanand Ambadkar

Mr. Ambadkar obtained his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Bio Medical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Engineering College, Aurangabad in Maharashtra state. He has almost 30 years experience in the healthcare industry.

Mr. Ambadkar started his career with M. Shah & Company, Baroda, as a Product Development Engineer. He designed and developed microprocessor controlled medical equipment for ophthalmic surgery (an import substitution product) as well as for operation of large steam sterilizers and operation tables. Mr. Ambadkar then moved to sales & marketing for the same firm, before venturing out independently as an entrepreneur.

Mr. Ambadkar then joined Pulmocare Consultants as a Partner and was responsible for marketing and sales. His innovative strategies and dealer development skills are responsible for Pulmocare Consultants excellent reputation in the market for ICU equipment.

Mr. Ambadkar was a regular faculty at workshops organized by Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine and taught ventilation techniques to clinicians. He also served on the steering committee of the medical college at Symbiosis University, Pune.

Mr. Ambadkar has been involved in advising Indian government agencies in their aid-efforts in Africa and in reviewing healthcare public-private-partnership project proposals in the state of Goa.

Presently Mr. Ambadkar is a lead advisor to several upcoming hospital projects. His responsibilities include complete planning and co-ordination of the various agencies in setting up of tertiary care hospitals.

Aninda DasGupta

Aninda DasGupta has almost 30 years experience in a variety of roles in Consumer Electronics, Medical Devices, IT and Telecom industries. He has held senior executive roles in General Management, Marketing, Sales, Product Management, Sourcing and Supply Chain, Technology Development, and Corporate Strategy. Aninda has an MBA from Kellogg School of Management and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He has worked and lived in India, USA, W. Europe and Far East Asia.

Aninda is also Founder & Managing Director at IndoSino Group, a provider of global services in sales and marketing, sourcing and business strategy to firms of all sizes. IndoSino specializes in innovative products and new markets.

Prior to founding IndoSino, Aninda was Managing Director at Harvard International Plc (formerly Alba Plc), a UK-based multinational maker of consumer electronics, medical devices, fitness equipment and giftware. Before Harvard, Aninda was Vice President and General Manager in charge of the Consumer Electronics Division at Flextronics, the contract manufacturing giant. He was responsible for worldwide delivery of design, manufacturing and logistics services to tier-1 brands and retailers. Before joining Flextronics, Aninda was at Royal Philips Electronics in a variety of roles spanning R&D, technical marketing, product strategy and management, product innovation, marketing planning and general management. He played a leading role in early standardization of HL7 (hospital information systems) and DICOM (medical image communication). He launched Philip's first consumer online service and led development of interactive-TV standards in North America.

History


A group company started as a manufacturer of medical disposable products in the late eighties. Pulmocare Consultants was formed in 1993 and has many successful projects under its belt. We changed Pulmocare's registered company name to DAA Business Associates.
